He said: “Before Ted Lasso nobody knew who the f*** I was, so the show has changed my life.”
His future looked bleak before trying stand-up and then getting cast on Jason Sudeikis’ Apple show.

“No-one knows what you are capable of and, if you are an actor, write your own stuff. Don’t wait around for a magical phone call.”
Although Brett has been acting since 2005, his biggest role came in 2020 and he’s grown increasingly popular since.
The actor has even won two Emmys in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series category, with the star sharing his gratitude for the popular for the show.
He said: “Thank you… for creating this magical thing and letting me be a part of it. I will never take it for granted.
“The hardest part of being Ted Lasso is being in a scene with anyone from this cast and not ruining the take by just staring at them and going, ‘God, you’re good’.”
He named his family and loved ones as he wrapped up and said: “I f*****g love you.”
Since Brett’s time on Ted Lasso he also landed a spot in Thor: Love and Thunder as Hercules – one of his biggest roles away from the Apple TV comedy.
Prior to that, Brett had appeared in the likes of SuperBob, Drifters and Adult Life Skills, but the launch of Ted Lasso was a turning point for the star.
Brett plays Roy on the show and appears alongside the likes of Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham and Juno Temple.
