The Chase’s Mark Labbett has declared he would turn cannibal in the I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! jungle.

“And they thought I was joking when I said this, my dad works in the meat trade and he taught me elementary butchery. And if somebody crosses me and costs a meal – cannibalism will be on the cards.
“You think I’m joking I’ll have them up there on that spit. Anyone will tell you I get so hangry. You can imagine someone going ‘where’s my ciggies?’ but I would probably get thrown out for throwing someone in the lake. I’m genuinely the top three of people that viewers want on, so…”
He later added that he has applied for the show four times – but his weight has always been an issue.
Mark said: “Four times I’ve been asked to apply for an ITV reality TV show. But at every point they’ve gone from really wanting me to suddenly my weight is an issue.
“I’m getting a bit jacked off about that. Especially now that I’m down to the weight I am.”
Mark continued: “They really worry on I’m A Celebrity about big stars who have shut down.
“They don’t allow for the fact that a guy like me, 3000 calories is a diet.”
The quiz guru continued: “I’d love to do it. I know one thing I’m safe from – they’re never going to get me on a parachute!
“It’s just really annoying that they invite me in for an interview and then weight is mentioned and I’m out.”
A spokesperson for I’m A Celebrity declined to comment when approached by Daily Star.
Over the last few years, the TV star has put himself on a strict diet which has seen him drop a whopping 10st.
The Beast star has lost weight by cutting out carbs and sugary substances while dramatically upping his protein intake instead.
