The Chase's Bradley Walsh speaks out after doctor's 'worrying' blunder on ITV show

The Chase presenter Bradley Walsh couldn’t help but make a dig at one contestant after they answered a question on the ITV quiz incorrectly.

But Chaser Shaun Wallace branded another player’s response “worrying” after discovering he was a doctor.

IT manager Lloyd, 52, stepped up to the plate first.

He got through with £4,000, but during the second round he had a blunder.

Bradley said that he believed that Lloyd was better than that amount and was a good player, but added that £4,000 was “very good”.

The question that caused him to slip was: “Where would you be mostly likely to find a tachograph?”

The options were either a hospital, a lorry, or a swimming pool.

Lloyd selected answer A, hospital, but the correct answer was B, a lorry.

There was a pause before the contestant said, “I think so. I’m not 100 percent sure, but it just rings a bell. Something to do with medical.”

Bradley was quick with his response as he quipped: “Thank god you’re not a doctor.”

“It’s a lorry,” he said as the correct answer lit up in green, “standing there in an operating theatre with your jack and your spanner.”

The team was hit with blunder after blunder

Chaser Shaun Wallace, whose nickname is The Dark Destroyer, said the state of things was “worrying” when another contestant on the show, Hashim, who is a doctor said that it was right – which caused everyone to laugh.

“What a team we’ve got on our hands today!” Brad said.

Bradley turned to Hashim and asked what he did, and he confirmed that he was, indeed, a doctor.

“I got mixed up with a tochograph rather than a tachograph,” he said.

Shaun explained the difference between the two. He said that a tachograph records the movement of a lorry.

“[It records] sleeping, resting, how far you go.”

He said that he would like to use the money to take his wife to Japan for their anniversary.

It comes after Bradley made a dig about co-star Shaun’s autobiography.

A contestant, who had a book club, was recommended Chasing the Dream, The Dark Destroyer’s new book by Irish chaser Darragh Ennis, whose nickname is The Menace.

He said that it would “cure your insomnia” after Darragh said that “if your book club is ever becoming over-subscribed, may I recommend Chasing the Dream by Shaun Wallace?”
