The Masked Singer viewers seem to believe they’ve already worked out who might be behind Poodle and are certain Take That singer Gary Barlow is the celebrity wearing the elaborate costume.
The popular ITV guessing show kicked off with a bang over the weekend, leaving fans in a rather speculative mood.
Taking to the stage to strut their stuff and showcase their vocals, contestant Poodle certainly left its mark amongst fans, but some already think they know who it is.
Hopping on Twitter after re-watching the show, one social media user tweeted: “After listening back a few times, Poodle is DEFINITELY Gary Barlow!”
Another certain fan wrote: “After listening again with no clues or watching, I do agree it could be Gary Barlow!”
A third questioned: “Hey Gary, are you poodle on The Masked Singer? It honestly sounds like you. Fantastic, amazing voice but sounds like you are trying to disguise it!”
“Poodle has gotta be Gary Barlow??” A fourth convinced fan wrote.
The celebrity judging panel which includes Rita Ora, Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross and Mo Gilligan were also stumped with regards to who Poodle could be.
However, they believed the celebrity behind the mask might have something to do with drag queens and guessed it was either Paul O’Grady, Adam Lambert, Michael Ball or presenter Rylan Clark.
On Sunday night, Poodle went up against Snow Leopard in the head-to-head challenge and won the majority of the studio audience’s votes.
Later on in the show, Snow Leopard’s time on the programme came to an abrupt end and she was unmasked as Loose Women’s star Gloria Hunniford.
Speaking about her time on the show after her departure, the Nothern Irish broadcaster said: “Although I was a singer when I was a child, and I was going to be a singer originally but broadcasting took over and I preferred that, but I hadn’t sung on a big show stage for something like 27 years.
“The Masked Singer is a big show and it’s only when the mask came off, and when I watched it on the Saturday night previous, I thought, ‘Oh my goodness, did I actually do that?’, it became a bit of a dream sequence.”
