The Masked Singer fans are convinced they have worked out that Robobunny is Westlife star Markus Feehily after an “obvious royal clue.”
As viewers prepare for the semi-finals of the popular ITV gameshow, theories for the remaining characters have littered the internet with many sending out their final predictions online.
During last week’s performance, Robobunny gave a stellar performance as they performed The Music Of The Night from the Phantom Of The Opera.
They were joined on stage by a carrot playing the piano for the mesmerising performance which left the star-studded panel of judges – Davina McCall, Rita Ora Jonathan Ross, Mo Gilligan and guest judge Olly Alexander – on their feet.
After the operatic performance, the TV detectives submitted their final guesses which included Alfie Boe, Donny Osmond, Jason Derulo, Nile Rodgers and Friends heartthrob Matt LeBlanc.
Yet one vital clue the pros missed was major QR clue on the back of the Robot costume which viewers were quick to jump on at home.
When the code is scanned, the message: “My royal barcode is 200019992003” which baffled many online.
But after some days to ponder what the strange string of numbers could mean, fans now believe they have worked out the riddle.
After much deliberation, viewers linked the code to the years that Westlife performed at the Royal Variety Show in 1993, 2000 and 2003.
Viewers swarmed to Twitter to share their thoughts on the possible clue online, as one was “convinced” they had worked out the celebrity behind the mask.
One user wrote: “#MaskedSingerUK #maskedsinger @ThisisDavina so after spending ages trying to scan the bar code on the back of robobunny and getting a royal barcode, tracking it to the royal variety show 1993, 2000 & 2003. I’m confident it’s #markfeehily.”
#MaskedSingerUK #MaskedSinger I’m so confused with Robo bunny. Been saying from the start Mark Feehily. That code is the years that #westlife were in the royal variety show.”
A third chimed in with: “Scanned QR code on Robobunny.. Westlife did royal variety performance in 1999, 2000, 2003. Anyone not saying Mark Feehily is nuts, it’s so obviiously his voice! #MaskedSingerUK.”
Another fan of the show pointed out: “Westlife performed at the royal variety performance in 1999, 2000 & 2003. The same numbers on the Robobunny’s QR code …#MaskedSingerUK” while another pointed out: “Also 3 albums with them dates.”
The Masked Singer continues on Saturday from 7pm on ITV
