Alex Jones looked sensational as she attended the Chelsea Flower Show with her husband Charlie Thomson.
The One Show host, 45, uploaded an adorable snap posing next to her husband as the pair enjoyed the incredible horticultural display.
Wearing a light blue midi dress, the presenter oozed elegance while New Zealand born Charlie looked dapper in a blue suit jacket paired with a light pink shirt.
The BBC star paired the stunning frock with a pair of white stilettos and wore her chestnut tresses in light curls.
She informed her 337,000 followers that it was a day out for the couple, captioning the post: “Mum and dad went out……until mid afternoon. Thank you @the_rhs for having us. Always one of our favourite days of the year and we are now in full ‘operation summer garden’ mode!”
While at the event, the presenter revealed she bought a new, very special addition to their garden – the Dame Deborah James Rose which is in support of the Bowelbabe Fund.
Taking to her Instagram story alongside a picture of the plant, Alex shared a heartfelt tribute, writing: “Brought this and spoke with @iamlaurenmahon at the stand. They had already raised 22k for @bowelbabefund. There are no words for how much one individual has managed to inspire a whole country.”
Alex asked her followers to purchase one if they could, concluding her message with “The rose is beautiful. Buy one if you can.”
Deborah James, 40, was diagnosed with stage four bowel cancer in December 2016 and earlier this month, revealed she had been moved to hospice care.
After sharing the heartbreaking news, the podcaster launched her fundraiser, The Bowelbabe Fund, which has made over £6 million.
Taking to her Instagram, the mum-of-two revealed she was “so honoured” and “actually cried” after learning she’d had a rose named after her.
The BBC Radio 5 star went on to say that she hopes one day her daughter Eloise can have the flowers included in her wedding bouquet.
The heartbreaking message read: “What breaks my heart and brings me the most beautiful thought, is that this variety will and can now be grown forever, and maybe one day even Eloise might choose to have it in her wedding bouquet.”
Deborah concluded the heartfelt post by saying: “2.50 from the sale of each Dame Deborah James Rose will be paid to Bowelbabe Fund for Cancer Research UK.”
