Harry Judd made a formal “apology” to NASA astronauts live on the One Show on Tuesday (February 22).
The TV host, 36, who was joined by presenter Lauren Laverne, 43, explained to viewers that his music had once gone into space after his fans had “bombarded NASA” with the song request.
Before turning his career attentions to television, Harry had been part of the hit band McFly as their drummer.
One of their chart topping songs from 2006 was Star Girl which resonated with fans so much that they hounded the US government agency to play the hit in space.
After a VT about the universe, co-host Lauren said: “But Harry, your music went to space.”
The musician bashfully chirped back: “It did, yes it did. Our fans bombarded NASA to play one of our songs.
“It’s called Star Girl In Space, so i’ll take this opportunity to apologise to those astronauts that had our music forced upon them.”
Laura added: “I love that your fans are the type of fans who will bombard NASA, like they just get stuff done.
Harry agreed: “Don’t cross our fans Lauren,” she interjected: “As if.”
He barked: “You’ve been warned.”
Meanwhile in October last year, TV star Harry announced the happy news that his wife Izzy Judd had given birth to their third child.
Taking to their own Instagram pages, Harry and Izzy shared identical black and white images of mum Izzy smiling while breastfeeding baby Lockie Magnus Christopher Judd in hospital.
Harry captioned: “@mrs_izzyjudd Clever Mummy and baby boy are doing well and are both beautiful”.
While Izzy wrote on her own social media feed: “And just like that my world feels complete.”
The pair are already mum and dad to five-year-old Lola, and four-year-old Kit.
