The Only Way Is Essex stars 'supporting each other' after double death heartbreak

Stars of The Only Way Is Essex have rallied around after the show was hit by a double tragedy.

In recent months, TOWIE favourite Yazmin Oukhellou was seriously injured in a car crash that killed her boyfriend Jake McLean.

And former star Lauren Goodger suffered a devastating loss when her newborn daughter died.

Show regular Amy Childs says any drama seen on the series has been put to one side as the cast support each other over the sad news.

She said: “People think we always have drama, but when something like that happens, we all get together and work as a team.

“We always support each other and we are always there for each other. We are on a TV show, but at the same time, we are a massive family.

“If anything ever happened to me, they’d be there for me. That’s the good thing about the show.”

The clan also support each other over the downsides of fame, such as trolling.

Amy said: “When you’re in the public eye, people think everything is amazing for you. But you get highs and lows from being in the public eye.

“You’ve got to rise above it and be that strong person.”

Despite Amy’s reality career, the businesswoman recently explained to us how she’s calling on Boris Johnson to make a major change.

Amy exclusively told the Daily Star about how she hopes Boris Johnson to allow medicinal cannabis to be prescribed on the NHS.

The star is working with Jorja Botanicals, a brand inspired by Jorja Emerson who was suffering from up to 30 seizures a day after being born with a severe form of epilepsy.

“I’d love to go to parliament and to get Jorja’s story heard and to get it legalised on the NHS, not just privately,” she exclaimed.

Discussing a potential meeting with the Prime Minister, she said: “I’d talk about Jorja firstly, I’m so passionate, I was so emotional but I’d say look at what the medical cannabis has done for Jorja, it’s kept her alive, she has hardly any seizures.

“I’d get Jorja with me, I would let him have it, in the nicest possible way.

“It’s lovely, now Jorja’s a part of the family, we absolutely idolise her, I’m going to do anything to make this work – it’s not that it was stressful.”
