The Weakest Link viewers fume as they brand celebs 'useless' after quiz round

The Weakest Link viewers were left fuming after watching the latest celebrity contestants on tonight’s episode (December 27).

TOWIE’s James ‘Arg’ Argent, former Loose Women star Sherrie Hewson and drag queen Lawrence Chaney were amongst the celebs taking part in the hit quiz show.

However, viewers watching at home were left raging after the stars got a lot of the questions wrong in the different rounds.

In round two, Lawrence Chaney was asked by host Romesh Ranganathan: “In athletics, the runner who held the women’s world record in the marathon for 16 years until it was broken in 2019 is Paula who?”

To which the drag queen stumbled and replied: “I don’t know… Paula Abdul.”

Fans were not happy at the celebs in tonight’s episode

His wrong answer didn’t go amiss with people watching at home, with one branding his answer “shocking.”

A second viewer fumed: “These are as thick as [expletive]. My god how do they get in in life”

Similarly, another viewer hit out at the show. calling the celebs “even more useless than normal.”

Viewers took to Twitter to share their thoughts

“Wow this group are atrocious,” they penned.

Someone else fumed: “After yesterday’s cleverer team, it’s gone back to the usual thickos.”

A fifth fan mused: “Are they deliberately being thick!”

Someone else replied to that tweet, saying: “Totally asking myself this. I’ve had to switch over. I can’t bear watching it any longer.”

Fans called the latest celebs ‘more useless than normal’

Another person tweeted: “Where do they find these people?”

“God they are a thick bunch aren’t they? Celebs proving once again that they shouldn’t give up the day job,” said an eighth fuming viewer.

Comedian Susan Calman and radio and TV presenter OJ Borg ended up in the final, with the pair tying.

As a result, the two went head-to-head for a final question but it was Susan who ended up winning.

The Scottish star bagged £11,250 for the charity of her choice.

The Weakest Link airs on BBC One.
