Alison Hammond snubbed her This Morning co-host Dermot O’Leary after he gifted her a cake to celebrate their anniversary.
The pair celebrated their one-year presenting birthday as they went on air on Friday (January 7) and Dermot surprised Alison with a yummy looking celebratory cake.
As viewers joined the duo Dermot revealed the reason why it was a very special day for them – but Alison was completely oblivious to the fact.
Excited at the milestone Dermot, 48, couldn’t wait to share the love with his TV wife as he asked her if she knew they had reached their year.
He said: “Allow me this brief moment of indulgence, did you know that today is our one-year anniversary?”
Shocked, Alison, 46, responded: “No! Oh my goodness, I didn’t know!”
Dermot then joked that the pair had finally passed their “probation” as he presented her with the cake.
He said: “We have a little anniversary cake. Happy anniversary!”
Dermot then looked back to a time when they were less friendly as he joked: “It’s been wonderful because remember when we used to hate each other? Isn’t it great now!”
The pair then burst into laughter as Alison responded: “We never used to hate each other. We always loved each other.”
They then blew out the candles on their cake before revealing what they had wished for.
Alison said: “I wished for another ten years.” Dermot replied: “I just wished for another year!”
They then reminisced about their time working together on the hit ITV daytime show.
Alison said: “It’s been good. I can’t believe it, I didn’t even know the anniversary was today!”
The former Big Brother star recently opened up about her on-screen relationship with Dermot, admitting it took time for them to form a bond.
She explained: “We literally were thrown together, like an arranged marriage. It took about two months before we became comfortable.”
