This Morning's Dermot O'Leary mortified as guest sends inappropriate 'muffin' text

This Morning host Dermot O’Leary couldn’t fight laughter after he was left mortified reading a predictive text fail.

The 48-year-old was presenting today’s show (May 20) alongside Alison Hammond when the pair began reading out text and communication fails.

As Alison, 47, tried to move on from the hilarious segment, Dermot caught another text out of the corner of his eye and couldn’t contain his laughter.

The former Strictly Come Dancing star insisted they move on, but Dermot pleaded with his co-host to let him read out one last text.

He giggled: “Grace said I meant to text my husband saying I was saving my…”

Dermot was forced to stop half-way through reading as he couldn’t stop laughing while Alison quipped: “Well if you’re going to do it tell us what you’re saying!”

He giggled: “I meant to text my husband saying I was saving my muffin for later but actually text him saying I was going to shave my muffin later.”

Alison let out her signature beckoning laugh as she stated: “That is brilliant” while Dermot exclaimed: “That’s an absolute belter!”

I’m A Celeb star Alison then properly introduced the show as she quipped: “Welcome to This Morning, this is what you’ve got, two hours of fun to look forward to.”

The segment got off to a hilarious start when Dermot admitted he was “a little perplexed” earlier in the week because of a text he received from a member of the This Morning team.

Dermot said: “I was a little perplexed earlier on in the week because we start talking to the team on Wednesday about what we’re going to do in the show..”

Alison chimed in: “They start talking to you on a Wednesday? They don’t phone me until today!”

“Well you’re very last minute,” Dermot joked.

The former X Factor judge quickly gave context behind his comment as she said: “No it’s just you don’t need it! You know me, I panic and I’ve got to prep and all that, you’re just fine with all that.”
