This Morning host Phillip Schofield was shut down by royal editor Camilla Tominey after he quizzed her about breaching lockdown rules.
The television presenter, 59, was back on our screens on Tuesday morning alongside stand-in host Rochelle Humes.
They welcomed journalists Camilla and Matthew Wright onto the show to discuss the latest headlines.
Conversation quickly turned to the alleged parties at Number 10 Downing Street and the reported investigation set to look into the social gatherings which took place during coronavirus lockdown.
Camila explained: “I’ve been in and out of Downing Street and everyone knows if you’ve gone in.”
Phillip added: “Not during lockdown? You didn’t go to any of those parties did you?”
A gobsmacked Camila replied: “Of course I didn’t. Thank you very much. I love all this ‘You were all at it’. No I wasn’t”
Phillip said: “I’ve got to ask like you would have asked me.”
Camila added: “I mean for press conferences and things.”
It was confirmed on Monday that Rochelle will step in for regular host Holly Willoughby for a number of weeks.
Marvin Humes’ wife initially announced the news on her Instagram page, posting a chic snap as she rocked a pair of brown leather trousers and a ribbed cream jumper, along with a pair of suave brown heeled sandals.
Rochelle explained: “Back at @thismorning. In for my girl @hollywilloughby for the next few weeks… Hope to see you at 10.”
The songstress grinned in the series of candid snaps, clearly chuffed to be taking up the seat next to presenter Phillip in Holly’s absence.
Holly hasn’t yet addressed her absence from the show, though Phil was on hand to explain to viewers what his co-star was up too, as Rochelle will be “keeping her seat warm” for an entire two weeks.
TV star Phillip told fans: “She’s off with The Iceman – she’s off for two weeks. So Rochelle’s here for the next two weeks.”
