American TV show host Jay Leno is in a medical emergency after he reportedly suffered “serious face burns” after one of his cars “erupted into flames” unexpectedly.
The New York born comedian and beloved TV star, who is best known for hosting The Tonight Show from 1986 until 2009, is 72 years of age and a huge car buff.
According to TMZ, the incident took place in the TV star’s LA-based garage when one of his 100 cars went up in flames.

The publication have reported that he has been left with severe burns to the left side of his face.
It is reported that Jay – who owns over 100 cars and motorcycles – is currently being treated at the Grossman Burn Center’s burn ward.
TMZ have also said that the flames that erupted “did not penetrate his eye or his ear”.
The former host of The Tonight Show was supposed to make a public appearance on Sunday night (November 13).
Jay failed to attend the event, which was the Financial Brand Forum 2022 in Las Vegas on Sunday, with an email obtained by PEOPLE citing a “very serious medical emergency”.
The email obtained by the publication stated: “His family was not able to provide us very many details, but there was a very serious medical emergency that is preventing Jay from traveling.”
It went on: “All we know is that he is alive, so our prayers go out to him and his family tonight.”
Jay started hosting The Tonight Show on and off in 1986 as a substitute host for Johnny Carson.
In 1992, he replaced Jonny as host while continuing to to perform as a stand-up comedian throughout.
In 2004, he signed a contract extension that saw him remain as the main host until 2009.
