Tyler Perry has admitted that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were going through a “difficult time” when he invited them to live in his Beverly Hills mansion in 2020.
The 53-year-old music producer confessed that he couldn’t turn his back on the couple at their time of need as he opened up about the experience in a new interview.
Speaking on the US show, Today with Hoda & Jenn, Tyler revealed that he feels “moved” by Meghan and Harry’s love for one another and how he would “do anything” to support them.

He said: “What I know about the two of them – and I wish the world knew – how much these two people love each other. They found each other, out of all these odds against them finding each other, they found each other.
“The love they have is really, really moving and I wanted to do anything I could to support them. If I don’t have that, what she and Harry have, I don’t want it. That’s really amazing.”
In a recent interview with The Cut, Meghan talked about her friendship with Tyler and how they formed a bond when he reached out to her following her 2019 wedding to Harry.
She said: “Sometimes, you can tell your life story to a stranger on a plane as opposed to some of the people that are closest to you.”
Last month Tyler marked Meghan’s 41st birthday with a touching Instagram post where he praised her for her family life.
He wrote: “I’ve had a front row seat in your life for the past few years. I’ve watched you endure things that would have broken a lot of people.
“I’m so incredibly proud to see how happy you, your husband, and your kids are now.”
Meghan and Harry have now reportedly returned home to the USA following their extended visit to the UK.
