Ulrika Jonsson claims British kids are 'brats' as she praises royals for parenting skills

Ulrika Jonsson has warned British parents are raising a “nation of spoilt brats”, while praising the Royals’ parenting skills.

Writing in her column for The Sun, the former Gladiators host, 55, praised the “impeccable behaviour” of Prince George, 9, and Princess Charlotte, 7, at Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral earlier this month.

In a nod to Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton, Ulrika claimed “people should learn from the Royal Family’s approach to parenting.”

She also warned the majority of modern kids were in contrast “over-stimulated” and “required constant entertainment”.

Ulrika wrote: “You could say there were adults in the congregation who displayed less upright conduct and demeanour than these two young, impressive creatures.

“I won’t be the only parent who was astounded by their ability to melt into the crowd of mourners at the Queen’s funeral, without attracting the wrong kind of attention.”

She added: “We’re breeding a nation of spoiled brats whose every whim has to be catered for.

“Kids are no longer expected to just be bored or to entertain themselves.”

Earlier this month, Ulrika made headlines when she slammed Katie Price for not seeing her kids regularly despite taking numerous trips abroad.

While praising the Royals’ parenting skills, Ulrika critiqued Katie’s claims on her Channel 4 documentary Katie Price: Trauma and Me that her children “needed their mum”.

It followed Katie revealing she’d had “limited access” to her kids Jett and Bunny.

Arguing that what children really needed was a “good mum or dad , Ulrika appeared to criticise the OnlyFans star for taking “endless holidays” while moaning about her lack of time with her kids.

Ulrika wrote: “Who knows the truth behind the Price-Hayler story.

“But gripes about limited access sound a little strange coming from a mum who heads off on seemingly endless holidays.”
