Ulrika Jonsson took a subtle swipe at her co-star Ian Collins as she quipped “do a bit of research yourself.”
The Swedish presenter appeared on tonight’s episode (April 29) of TalkTV’s The Talk alongside Ian Collins when the panel began talking about HRT (hormone replacement therapy).
Ulrika, 54, asked Ian 55, whether he’d taken his hormones this morning and said: “Whatever affects women affects men” to which Ian agreed.
Ian explained that there has been talk about men going on courses so that they can understand more about HRT however went on to state: “I don’t think we need to go on courses, but I do think it would be good to sit and have a sensible conversation with your partner if they’ve reached a stage where that is happening.”
Ulrika then quietly quipped: “Or you could just do a bit of research yourself.”

The conversation was directed to HRT when Ayesha Hazarika, 46, announced that “women were dealt another blow” as new restrictions were placed on hormone therapy prescriptions.
The new prescriptions limit women to three months of supply at one time and follows reports of “women buying HRT on the black market and hoarding the drug.”
Ulrika agreed that this was a subject that was close to her heart because she is on HRT.

Reflecting on three-month limit, Ulrika said: “For me, I need to know that I have it there.
“We need to sort out the supply so that people have access to it and it should be ‘stock up for a year’ because that’s what we were promised.”
Ayesha then revealed that women in England were promised that they were going to have a lower prescription charge because women in Wales and Scotland “essentially” get it for free.

Pannellist JJ Anisiobi went to admit that he knows “very little” about HRT” and asked Ulrika how often she takes it and what happens if she doesn’t.
The former Gladiators presenter responded: “I take it in various different forms, creams, lozenges and capsules.
“I have a different system to the NHS, I’m fortunate enough to go private, but that’s my choice because it just feels better for me.”
