Vin Diesel has poignantly remembered his late friend Paul Walker on the ninth anniversary of his death.
Paul, 40, was involved in a fatal, fiery car crash in Santa Clarita, California, in 2013 – leaving the world reeling.
Diesel, 55, and the tragic actor starred in the Fast and the Furious franchise together since 2001 and were said to be “brothers”.

To commemorate the harrowing day, the action star posted a lovely picture of him and Paul, who played Brian O Connor in the series, laughing with the caption: “Nine years… love and miss you.”
Not only was Diesel great friends with Paul, but he also remained close to his family following his death.
He even walked Paul’s daughter, Meadow, down the aisle in 2021.
Diesel is Meadow’s godfather.
Last year he also opened up about how Paul told him he needed to be in the delivery room when his own daughter was born as it would be “the best day of your life”.
Diesel’s daughter Hania went on to be in Meadow’s bridal party and he recalled: “The same angel that you helped me prepare for in the most beautiful way with your brotherly advice is the same angel that precious Meadow asked to be her Maid of Honor.
“How could I have known that back on the 2008 set of Fast… but maybe somehow you did.”
A week after Paul’s death, Diesel said in a Facebook post: “Pablo, I wish you could see the world right now… and the profound impact, your full life has had on it, on Us… on me.”
On November 30, 2013 Paul and his friend Roger Rodas were driving down a street in Valencia, Santa Clarita, at about 3.30pm when their Porsche crashed into a lamp post, killing them both.
The speed they were going and the condition of the tyres was said to be the cause of the accident.
