The BRIT Awards are always a highlight in the showbiz calendar, with outlandish outfits, sizzling performances from the top chart stars and outrageous behaviour all on offer in abundance over the years.
This year’s hotly-anticipated ceremony will see a few changes from previous years, such as the male and female categories being replaced by gender neutral gongs.
There is also a change when it comes to presenters, with actor and comic Jack Whitehall handing over the mic to comedian Mo Gilligan.
As the 2022 ceremony draws closer, we have a look at what some of the previous BRITs hosts are up to now.
Jack Whitehall
Jack has hosted the show for the last few years, but he has also been building up a string of showy film credits.
The 33-year-old made a splash alongside Emily Blunt and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson in Jungle Cruise last year.
And over Christmas he warmed hearts with his adorable turn in children’s film Clifford The Big Red Dog.
He has also found love since splitting from actress Gemma Chan, and has been dating model Roxy Horner since the start of lockdown in March 2020.
Dermot O’Leary

Dermot hosted the show in 2017 and since then he has landed himself a cosy spot on the This Morning sofa.
At the start of 2021, the TV star and Alison Hammond took over from husband and wife team Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes on Fridays.
Dermot has also become a dad since his BRITs days, with partner Dee Koppang welcoming their son in 2020.
Ant and Dec
Ant and Dec last brought their cheeky humour to the BRITs stage in 2015 and 2016.
Since then the duo have gone from strength to strength, continuing to serve up TV hits like Britain’s Got Talent and Saturday Night Takeaway.
They have also continued their run at the National Television Awards, where they’ve now won the coveted Best Presenter gong a record 20 times.
However, a couple of things have changed in the time since they last took the BRITs stage.
Dec became a dad when he and his wife Ali welcomed daughter Isla in 2018.
That year also saw Ant arrested for drink-driving. He pleaded guilty, was fined £86,000 and was banned from driving for 20 months.
He also split from his wife of 18 years Lisa Armstrong, and has since remarried, finding love with his former PA Anne-Marie Corbett.
James Corden

Before Ant and Dec took over, James fronted the music bash for a few years.
At the time he was probably best known for much-loved series Gavin And Stacey.
But in 2014 he was announced as the new host of The Late Late Show in the US and he has gone on to enjoy huge fame across the pond as well as at home in the UK.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Corden has managed to amass a huge fortune of £51million after becoming one of the top hosts in the US.
Peter Kay
Comedian Peter hosted the show in 2010 and went on to have big TV programmes like Car Share and Comedy Shuffle.
But since then the comedian has been largely out of the public eye.
He did pop up late last year, delighting fans when he appeared in a rare photo at Danny Baker and Bob Harris’ Backstage Pass tour at a theatre in Salford.
The Osbournes

The Osbournes hosted the ceremony in 2008, on the back of their reality show fame.
Since then, Kelly has transformed her look with her dramatic weight loss, and Jack has been kept pretty busy becoming a dad of three.
Sharon was a judge on America’s Got Talent for several years and in 2010 became one of the panellists on US chat show The Talk.
However she was axed from the show last year, after speaking out to defend Piers Morgan over his remarks about Meghan Markle’s bombshell Oprah interview.
CBS issued a statement about Sharon’s exit, saying: “Sharon Osbourne has decided to leave The Talk. The events of the March 10 broadcast were upsetting to everyone involved, including the audience watching at home.
“As part of our review, we concluded that Sharon’s behavior toward her co-hosts during the March 10 episode did not align with our values for a respectful workplace.
“We also did not find any evidence that CBS executives orchestrated the discussion or blindsided any of the hosts.”
Russell Brand
Russell hosted the BRITs in 2007 and sparked plenty of complaints when he made a crack about Robbie Williams’ stint in rehab.
In the 15 years since he fronted the awards he has been married to and divorced from singer Katy Perry and has now settled down and started a family with Laura Gallacher.
The pair tied the knot in 2017 and have two young daughters together.
Noel Edmonds

Noel hosted several ceremonies in the 80s, when he was a huge name thanks to hits like The Noel Edmonds Show and Telly Addicts.
The star is now 73 and hasn’t done so much in recent years.
But in 2018 he did sign up for the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle.
There were reports that Noel was paid more than any other celeb ever to have gone on the show, reportedly netting a whopping £600,000, but he ended up being the first to be booted out of the camp.
Michael Aspel

Michael hosted the first ever BRIT Awards back in 1977.
The presenter was rarely off screen in those days, with shows such as Celebrity Squares, New Faces, Ask Aspel and Star Signs.
Michael is now 89 and has not been seen so much in recent years, although he did film documentary Evacuees Reunited in 2008.
He now lives in Surrey with his partner and was recently photographed out for a stroll in the countryside.
