1000lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton looked unrecognisable as she danced in her first full-body video since undergoing bariatric surgery – and losing half her body weight. The TLC star originally tipped the scales at around 717lbs (51 stone), and has now lost more than 350lbs (25 stone).
In a new Instagram video, Tammy could be seen standing unassisted as she slipped into a pair of jeans, celebrating her epic achievement. She donned a brown camouflage hoodie with a long tail at the back and a pair of blue denim jeans, hitched high up on her hips and secured with a black leather belt.
Adding a pair of dark trainers and rings around her fingers, Tammy looked a far cry from her former self as she danced a little in front of the mirror, holding up her phone to capture a video. She wore her usual glasses and let her fiery red hair fall loose around her shoulders before giving fans a side view.

She did add a filter over the top of the video, but Tammy’s weight loss speaks for itself – and she’s looking incredible. And fans couldn’t wait to head to the comments section to praise her efforts.
1000lb Best Friends star Vannessa Cross gushed: “Look at my QUEEN!” while her co-star Meghan Crumpler said: “So freaking happy and excited for you! You deserve it!”
One fan of the TLC show penned: “I’ve never been more proud of a stranger!” as somebody else agreed: “When are you able to have skin removal surgery? You have made such amazing progress!”
“Wow, so happy for her. I hope the doctors offer skin removal, it’s got to be getting heavy on her new tiny body!” another gushed. While a fourth viewer said: “She’s in jeans baby! Love you!”
The new post comes after reports Tammy was arrested for drug possession in Kentucky, shortly after the death of her husband Caleb Willingham. The Blast reports that Tammy was charged with one count of possession of marijuana and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, and she’s due in court in April 2024 for a “diversion plan”.
That’s a way to settle the score outside of the court system to give defendants an opportunity to avoid a criminal record. Cannabis in Kentucky is illegal for recreational use, only legal for medical use under executive order – though by 2025 full medical legalisation is expected to take place. The recreational use of cannabis is legal in 23 states in the US as of 2023.

Tammy’s estranged husband was just 40 years old when he died in July 2023, with Tammy filing for divorce after he failed to stick to his diet plan while in a food rehabilitation centre.
Her sister Amanda announced the news via Facebook, writing: “Please whisper a prayer for our family and all of Caleb’s family. Caleb Willingham is sitting at the feet of Jesus. Heaven got a good one! I didn’t get to spend a lot of time with him but the messages he would send helped me through so many dark times. I am so thankful for the love he showed my sister and all those he came in contact with.”
