Dakota Johnson got whiplash while filming some of her raunchy 50 Shades of Grey scenes.
While filming a steamy moment with her co-star Jamie Dornan, who played the mysterious Christian Grey, Johnson was left with an injury after she’d been “thrown” around.
Dakota previously told Yahoo: “Jamie was throwing me on a bed. We did 17 takes, so my head just snapped back all day and when I woke up, I couldn’t move my neck. It was really terrible.”

The actress’ injuries occurred during the Red Room of Pain scenes when the pair were filmed in Grey’s sex dungeon. Dornan, however, didn’t come off so bad.

He also told the publication: “I don’t think I injured myself ever, but I think Dakota came out a little bit worse! I think she has been vocal about how she was bruised up after a couple of days when stuff got a little bit real in the Red Room.”
During another interview, Dakota told mirror.co.uk that she wishes she could revisit the unfortunate moment: “I got whiplash once from him throwing me on the bed, so f***ing painful. I wish we had a gag reel from the shoot.”

Johnson got up to all sorts while on the 50 Shades of Grey set and managed to sustain some injuries herself. According to the star, once when the cast and crew were doing a scene in Christian’s kitchen, she thought it would be funny “to hide in a cabinet”.
Dakota then explained that after pulling the handle, she realised her fatal error – it was a prop and didn’t actually open so “the entire set came down on top of her”. Although she’d made a few clumsy mistakes, the Anastasia Steele star said that they helped break the tension during the more serious scenes.

Johnson has previously said that she like that fact that she could laugh with Dornan despite “feeling a bit shell-shocked” at times – which she remedied by taking a long drive home and “a big glass of wine” to wind down.
