Actor dies aged 22 after £176k plastic surgery overhaul to look like BTS’ Jimin

Canadian actor Saint Von Colucci has died after spending a large sum on 12 plastic surgeries to look like BTS star Jimin.

The actor, 22, spent a whopping $220,000 (£176,000) on 12 operations so he could play the K-Pop star for a US streaming network in a Korean Drama.

The young actor died at a hospital in South Korea on Sunday morning after suffering complications from cosmetic procedures he had months ago.

His publicist told DailyMail that he went into surgery on Saturday night to remove his implants that were placed in his jaw in November.

It was stated that he developed an infection from his implants and, following complications, he was intubated and died hours later.

The publicist, Eric Blake, worked with Van Colluci since March 2022 and described the incident as “very tragic and unfortunate”.

Additional procedures saw him get jaw surgery, implants, a face lift, nose job, eye lift, eyebrow lift a lip reduction and some additional minor surgeries.

His publicist explained the star was “very insecure” about his looks and had a “very square jawline and chin” which he didn’t like as he thought it was “too wide”.

It was claimed Von Colucci wanted the “V-shape” face.

The actor reportedly struggled to get jobs due to his appearance

He was taking part in the Korean Drama Pretty Lies and filming finished in December, with Von Colucci playing one of the main characters as an international student.

The actor was said to be “very very excited” about the new gig and “worked really hard”, and was hoping to launch his music career off the back of the show.

Eric said he came to South Korea in 2019 to get into the music industry and was brought over by a firm who paid for his housing, transport and living expenses while under a seven-year contract.

He explained that Colucci found it very hard to get a job in South Korea and “felt very discriminated against his Western looks”.
