Filming for the biopic has already started, with several photos from the production teasing Marisa’s transformation into Amy.

Following the release of the behind-the-scenes shots of the film, Blake, now 40, has been spotted for the first time.

The former music video assistant married Amy in 2007 but the pair divorced in 2009, two years before Amy tragically died.

Aged just 27, the Back to Black songstress died at her home in Camden Square, London, with a coroner ruling the cause of death to be alcohol poisoning

In his first outing since filming began, Blake could be seen running errands in Leeds on Monday (February 6) and appeared in high spirits as he walked the streets.

For his day out, Amy’s ex-husband donned a baby puffer jacket, paired with dark blue jeans and a baseball cap.

Although only married for a couple of years, the singer’s relationship with Fielder-Civil was a defining period of her life.

The music icon and Blake shared a notoriously turbulent relationship, with her ex-husband later admitting to introducing her to heroin.

The fans of the British singer-songwriter often paint Blake as the villain in her life story, saying he enabled Amy’s drug usage.

However, he refused to claim responsibility for her tragic end.

He told Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain in 2018: “Amy didn’t do anything Amy didn’t want to do.”

Speaking to OK!, Amy’s mother Janis said she no longer blames him for her daughter’s death.

She said: “When it comes to Blake, I’ve decided never to speak badly about anyone. I know it was about love and I don’t think you can judge when it comes to love. Love does the walking and talking.

“I believe the relationship between Amy and Blake was intimate and genuine. Their marriage was impulsive but it was still pure. It was obviously a complicated relationship but love was at the heart of it.”
