Antiques Roadshow viewers were left stunned once again after a bronze statue was valued to be worth £40,000.
During Sunday’s programme, a guest appeared on the show with a Joesph Bernard figurine. Giving insight into the statue which was called a Young Girl With A Jug, expert Will Farmer said the extraordinary piece was one of the artist’s most famous and “celebrated” works.
Clearly in love with the piece, Will said Bernard’s item was “classic” but also showed the movement into “art decor”. He then went on to share his value for the figurine which he described as “an absolute dream”.

After hearing the shocking figure, fans headed straight to X, formerly known as Twitter to share their thoughts. One viewer said: “A bronze. £40,000.”
Another shocked fan wrote: “Young girl with a jug could be worth £40k nice.” Another fan said: “Worth 40 thousand pounds for the statue. Who else would back away from it very slowly, very very slowly.”
Meanwhile, others shared their plans if they were in possession of the statue, with one viewer writing: “I’d look after it all the way to the bank.” And another viewer said: “Sell it.”
Another jaw-dropping discovery on the show was colourful stained glass window which was worth £1,700. But more interestingly, the guest who bought the item on the show, saved the window from a skip.
Expert Ronnie Archer Morgan was impressed with piece which he revealed had been made from tiny beads in Czechoslovakia around 1900. He then said: “The more I talk about this the higher the value goes up in my head, it’s so remarkable.”
He then gave his valuation to the stunned guest. He said: “It has value, between £1,200 and £1,700.”
Clearly astonished by the figure, the guest replied: “I never even thought it was valuable, particularly. I just thought it was lovely.”
