BBC Breakfast’s Carol Kirkwood says ‘I’m keeping out of it’ as co-stars have ‘domestic’

BBC Breakfast turned akward during the latest episode of the morning show as she told her co-stars “I hate getting involved in your domestics”.

Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt were back on the famous red sofa on Thursday (December 21) to bring the latest news headlines from across the globe. During one of the segments, the pair discussed a group of deers being airlifted for a health check. Every year, the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources captures around 1,200 deer to conduct health assessments.

The deer are fitted with GPS monitors before being rereleased unharmed. Naga pointed out that there are “questions why they need to be airlifted”. Discussion moved on with Naga pointing out that image of the deers being rescued looking like a “sleigh doing a vertical” but Charlie said “only a bit I think”.

Asking co-star Carol Kirkwood her opinion before she offered the latest weather forecast, Naga asked: “A lot Carol, don’t you think?” Carol admitted: ‘I was too busy looking at their ears. Aren’y they beautiful animals?” Naga said: “You dodged that, you dodged that so far”

Carol added: “I hate getting involved in your domestics, you two. It’s much safer keeping out of it.” A giggling Naga could be heard saying: “I’ll show you domestic.” The meteorologist went on to share the latest weather bulletin with viewers watching at home. It comes after BBC Breakfast reporter Ben Boulous was mistaken for a food market stall vendor during a live broadcast.

The shopper disappeared off screen and Ben, 39, stopped sharing his report to turn to the man and tell him: “I don’t work here, I’m just doing the news.” His colleagues back in the BBC studio could be heard laughing, with Ben quickly apologising before carrying on.

Ben said: “Uh sorry” before waving his hand around in the air to try and move past what had just happened. Clearly seeing the funny side of the encounter, the broadcaster shared a clip of the moment to social media, simply writing: “I don’t work here’”alongside a laughing-crying emoji face.
