BBC Breakfast star Nina Warhurst clapped back after a troll claimed she looked “a mess” while presenting the morning programme on Wednesday (April 5).
The newsreader, 42, has been standing in for Sally Nugent since Monday and joined forces with Jon Kay once again to helm the BBC show’s third instalment of the week.
But it appears not everyone was pleased to see Nina on-screen as one woman sadly took the opportunity to insult the presenter’s appearance.

The nasty message said: “Please do something with your hair. You look a mess! We have to look at you while we are eating our breakfasts, for heavens sake!”
Sharing a photo of the comment on Twitter alongside a selfie as she posed with Jon, the mum-of-two hit back and slammed the woman behind the screen.
In view of her 39,000 followers, she wrote: “Women who do this to women [pensive face emoji]. Too repulsed by my hair to eat her breakfast, but managing to bang out this vitriol [spiral eyes emoji].
“Apart from anything else I can’t bear inaccuracies – I think we can all agree my hair looked [heart hands emoji].”
After reading the spiteful remark, Nina’s comments were inundated with messages of support from her friends and fans.
Nina’s BBC Breakfast co-star Naga Munchetty insisted: “It looked fab x.
A second person shared: “I was just thinking how fab your hair was this morning….and how fab u r looking in general. As well as being a totally naturally gifted broadcaster.”
“You are right – why people feel it’s ok to be so horrible. It looked lovely btw,” added a third viewer.
Someone else gushed: “I agree, your hair looks gorgeous. I also love the red lipstick and polka dots. 10/10.”
While a fifth echoed: “Why do people feel the need to make horrible comments ? Let the haters hate. You looked lovely Nina.”
