BBC Strictly judge tipped to leave show after latest series — and fans will be gutted

Strictly Come Dancing judge Anton Du Beke has been tipped to leave the show after two years.

The professional dancer, 57, has been on the glitzy BBC One since the series first began back in 2004. During his stint as a professional dancer, he was partnered with celebs including EastEnders’ Patsy Palmer and Emma Barton.

But in 2021, it was revealed that Anton would be replacing Bruno Tonioli. Dancer Bruno bowed out of the show after 18 years of sitting at the judge’s panel.

However, it’s now been predicted that Anton could be leaving the dancing show. And fans of the programme would no doubt be gutted.

In an exclusive prediction provided by BonusCodeBets, it’s claimed Anton is the most likely judge to leave the show. The bookies have him at odds of 2/1.

The odds put him ahead of other co-stars Motsi Mabuse and Shirley Ballas who are at 5/2 and 3/1 respectively. As for Craig Revel Horwood, the bookie has chalked him up at 5/1.

Speaking about the odds and Anton’s potential exit, PR expert Rochelle White claimed his exit would be “good for him and his career.” She said: “If he is looking to leave there could be a number of reasons such as needing a change, a new opportunity presented or even a career break, to figure out what he wants to do moving forward.”

Supporting his move, she added: “As much as brand association is great, no one wants to be known as one thing forever. Like anything, people will have their thoughts and opinions, but I don’t feel that it would backfire.”

As for what TV shows Anton should lean towards, Rochelle advised him to choose ones that “show a different side to him.”She said: “Shows like ST2C Bake Off, Who Do You Think You Are, The One Show etc, it would be refreshing and new side to him.”
