BBC’s Zoe Ball ‘splits’ from model partner as he moves out of their shared home

BBC Radio 2 star Zoe Ball has reportedly split from her long-term partner Micheal Reed after five and a half years together.

It’s believed the relationship had “run its course” and that model Micheal has since moved out of their shared home in East Sussex.

An insider allegedly close to Zoe, 52, said that the broadcaster is “gutted” but is better off without him.

A source told The Sun: “Zoe is gutted but she’s better off without Michael. This is a relief to many of her friends, who think she has done the right thing.

“They were arguing over really silly things like Zoe spending time on the phone to her friends and it all got a bit too much for her.”

The source added that Michael started to become “demanding” and the pair began to spend a lot less time together.

The source finished off by stating that Zoe asked Michael to move out of their home and they hope the radio DJ will find the “happiness she deserves” despite ending on good terms with Michael.

Daily Star has contacted Zoe’s reps for comment.

Last month the former It Takes Two presenter enjoyed a family holiday in Cyprus without Michael.

The news comes after Zoe took to Instagram this week to mark the sixth anniversary of the death of her ex-boyfriend Billy Yates.

It was revealed that Billy passed away on May 4, 2017 after suffering from depression.

Sharing an image of the ITV cameraman on social media, the star wrote: “6 years Billy wonder, missed madly by all who love you.”

Fans also shared their condolences under the heartfelt post.

One social media user wrote: “Massive love to you and all his friends and family.”

While another penned: “Sending a virtual hug to you Zoë. Billy will always be with you as he will live on in your memories.”

Zoe was previously married to DJ Norman ‘Fatboy Slim’ Cook from 1999 to 2016.

The pair share two children together Nelly May Lois Cook and Woody Cook who has previously starred alongside his mum Zoe on Channel 4’s Celebrity Gogglebox.

Woody is currently following in his father’s footsteps by pursuing a career in DJing.
