Below Deck’s Courtney Veale caused ‘messy love drama’ which ‘ruined boat crew’

Below Deck star Courtney Veale has admitted that she once caused some serious drama on a boat which almost left her without a job.

She confessed to Daily Star: “I caused a bit of a love triangle on the boat. I was seeing one of the guys and he went on leave for six weeks. I didn’t really fancy him, I fancied his mate who was the bosun.

“The first guy went on leave and during that time, I ended up seeing the other guy. Then when he came back they had a big fight.”

Veale then explained how the fight started and all hell broke loose.

Courtney confessed: “Stupidly, one guy decided to tell the other guy that we had gotten closer while he was away, but he told him while they were out partying.”

Courtney was in the middle of some serious boat drama

Tensions were high and the men began to fight over Courtney as one told the other to hit him in the face.

She said: “They were all riled up on alcohol and he went: ‘Hit me, hit me! I deserve it!’ And then the guy absolutely leathered him. He lost a tooth!”

“[It was a] full scrap! Well, it wasn’t really a full fight as the second guy wasn’t going to hit back. He felt bad for what had happened.”

Due to the circumstances, Courtney was forced to explain the situation to her Chief Stew, who was seriously unimpressed with the situation.

Veale explained: “The next day, the first guy was messaging me like: ‘I can’t believe you’d do that to me,’ so I had to tell my Chief Stew what had happened because it was the biggest boat drama that was happening.”

She had to be on her best behaviour

“I told her and she was like: ‘Oh, for god’s sake Courtney!’ It kind of ruined the whole crew dynamic. She basically was like: ‘If anything like this happens again, I’m going to have to fire you because it’s too much drama.”

Luckily, Courtney didn’t get fired and remained on her best behaviour: “I reigned it in after that, thank god!”

“I was quite well behaved on the show, there weren’t many close calls. I wasn’t close to being fired then […] It was all ok.”
