Big Brother ‘cast stunning Miss Universe beauty queen’ as first contestant for reboot

Miss Universe GB winner, Noky Simbani is the first housemate to have been revealed to be joining the Big Brother house.

According to The Sun on Sunday, the 26-year-old is one of 16 contestants to be going into the North West London mansion.

In a X (formerly Twitter) post dubbed “terrifying” by commenters, the Big Brother UK account posted a mysterious thread of each of the contestant’s eyes.

A source said of the first addition to the house, “Noky’s an ideal housemate. Not only is she beautiful but she’s got brains and a fantastic personality.

Noky is the winner of last year’s Miss Universe GB

“Several casting producers have been desperate to sign her to reality shows.

“But she didn’t want to choose something too obvious like Love Island.”

Noky has a whole host of achievements under her belt alongside the Miss Universe GB title – including a master’s degree in chemical engineering.

Last year, the Derbyshire-born woman explained, “In pageants this day and age it’s not just about being the prettiest face. You have to have the whole package.”

Noky is a firm believer that brains are just as important as beauty

Single and working in finance, Noky also has a big heart – having spent time in India helping women disfigured by acid attacks.

Excitement for tonight’s show is building, after ITV already teased glimpses of this year’s Big Brother house.

The brightly-coloured house includes a jacuzzi, vast garden, and a vibrant take on the iconic diary room chair.

However, fans are upset that the Big Brother house will be missing what has been the iconic point of conflict and conversation over the years: the smoking area.

Many took to Twitter to share their dismay.

One user wrote, ““The smoking area was the best part of Big Brother. Everyone would sit there at night and talk pure s***e for hours.”

Another added, “Big brother without the smoking area loses so much. Not looking forward to it as much now.”

ITV’s director of media and entertainment, Kevin Lygo, explained his aim of rebooting the show’s “golden period”.

Kevin stated, ‘The key to Big Brother is to keep it like it was in its golden period – more interesting, intelligent, and upmarket than other reality shows.”

The series is returning for the first time in six years, after Channel 5 axed it in 2018.

Big Brother premieres tonight at 9pm on ITV1, ITV2, and ITVX.
