Big Brother winner Craig Phillips has teased that he would love to return to the famous TV house, but has warned ITV bosses that he has one condition.
Fans of the reality show will remember the humble builder from Liverpool won the first series of the TV sow back in the year 2000. Since then, the hunk has gone on to host a series of renovation shows and has launched his own YouTube channel Mr. DIY where he shares 60-second DIY tips for improving your home.
In 2016, the broadcaster met his wife Laura and tied the knot at Peckforton Castle in February 2018, going on to welcome their two children Nelly and Lennon. Now, the broadcaster has partnered up with home assistance provider HomeServe to share some of the nation’s biggest home problems in the lead up to winter.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, the doting dad has lifted the lid on what it would take for him to return to the TV show following the rebooted social experiment series. When asked if he would ever return to the show, Craig confessed: “I certainly wouldn’t go back as another contestant to try and win the show or nominate or anything like that.
“But I would go back if they wanted me to do a DIY task – that’s really the only reason I would go back to it.” But that hasn’t stopped the bricklayer from being a huge fan of the show and has continued to support it over the past two decades.
Talking about the new series, he told us: “I was eagerly anticipating seeing who the 16 housemates were going to be on launch day, so it was really nice to watch it again. I’ve got to be honest, I was getting a buzz looking forward to it.
“In the past, I was glad to see Big Brother end on Channel 4 after the 10/11 years it ran for. I felt it ran its course, but I felt it came back too soon for Channel 5 and it needed a break, a cool off period. But now we’ve been off air for six years, and I was excited and looking forward to its return. I do believe that ITV could bring it back and bring a new breath of fresh air to the show.”
It comes after he revealed who he believes who could make it through to the live final. The doting dad predicted: “I like Paul, I mean I’m from Liverpool so I’m naturally gonna like him. I like the young lad Zak as well from Manchester.
“I felt he was good at engaging with the group of housemates, so I think if I lived in there, they’d be the type of people I’d like to spend time with. He was interested in and concerned about all the others in the house.
“And Dylan the DJ, I liked the look of him when I saw him on his way in. I thought he’s gonna bring a nice level of energy to the house you know that people want to be around. Certainly me personally, I would want to be around him.
“I like Kerry as well, the NHS worker. There’s a couple of people in there that, especially the young girl Olivia who struggled with the situation she was put into, I felt as if Kerry was a mother figure. She just looking out for people and she’s gonna be the one that gives people good advice and kind of rein them in a bit if you get out of control or if they get a bit upset.
“So I think those four stood out to me as the housemates that I’d like to spend time with, and I can definitely see them going far in the competition.” It comes after TikTok star Farida was eliminated from the competition on Friday (October 13) after she received eight nominations.
