Billie Eilish has officially revealed that she is attracted to women after discussing her sexuality in a recent interview.
The Grammy award-winner told Variety: “I’ve never really felt like I could relate to girls very well. I love them so much. I love them as people. I’m attracted to them as people. I’m attracted to them for real.”
Eilish went on to say that she hasn’t always been a “girl’s girl” and often felt animosity from other women. However, she went on to say: “I have deep connections with women in my life, the friends in my life, the family in my life. I’m physically attracted to them, but I’m also so intimidated by them and their beauty and their presence.”

Billie has previously dodged questions about her sexuality and claimed it was “nobody’s business”. She has also said that the media doesn’t have the “same energy” when it came to questioning men’s sexuality.
The Bad Guy singer has previously been accused of queerbaiting by her fans. While promoting her song Lost Cause, she shared a series of snaps showing her with a group of women with the caption “I love girls”.
Her statement prompted questions about her sexuality and many urged Billie to clarify, but the singer protected her privacy and never commented, until now.
The 21-year-old also discussed her gender identity and touched upon the topic of sexualisation since the start of her career, which she has tried to avoid with her signature baggy outfits and oversized clothes.
Billie shot to stardom back in 2017 and she famously began wearing clothes that covered her figure, often opting for tracksuits, hoodies, cargo shorts and sports jersey’s when performing on stage and in her music videos.
Eilish has since become more comfortable and said: “Maybe my not really caring about being sexualised is because I’ve never felt desired or desirable. I’ve never felt like a woman, to be honest with you […] I’ve never felt feminine. I have to convince myself that I’m, like, a pretty girl.”
Billie confirmed that she “identifies as she/her” but has “never really felt like a girl”.
