Sam Asghari has rushed to the defence of his estranged wife Britney Spears after Donald Trump Jr made a dig at her.
In August it was revealed that Sam and Britney were going their separate ways after a little over a year of marriage. But it seems that despite their split, he’s still showing his support for his estranged wife.

Donald Trump Jr took to Instagram to share a side-by-side picture of Britney with one photo of her from the noughties under the words ‘America Under Trump’. The photo next to it showed a recent clip of Britney dancing in her underwear holding knives, which was under ‘America Under Biden’.
The political message was then partnered with the caption: “Yup”. But the people in his comments were divided by the snap – particularly at his use of Britney.
One person branded the post “immature” while another told Trump Jr the post was “mean” and encouraged them to take it down. But while his followers were divided, there was one person who was firmly in Britney’s corner.
Her soon-to-be ex husband Sam Asghari told Trump Jr: “It’s not okay to be a bully”, publicly on his Instagram Stories. It’s the first time since Sam has addressed his split from Britney after confirming they would be getting a divorce.
He said at the time: “After 6 years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together. We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other and I wish her the best always.”
Sam added: “Sh** happens,” before asking people to be “kind and thoughtful”. Reports claimed that Sam had filed for divorce from the pop princess after 14 months of marriage citing “irreconcilable differences”.
Sam and Britney met in October 2016 on the set of her Slumber Party music video. Mere months later they went Instagram official and later got engaged in December 2021.
They had an exclusive wedding in June 2022 with a very A-list guest list which included the likes of Madonna, Selena Gomez and Paris Hilton.
