Carol Vorderman has responded to what some viewers called a ‘creepy’ comment made by The Beast, Mark Labbett.
The former Countdown personality took part in an episode of Beat The Chasers earlier this year, which was repeated on ITV1 on Tuesday (August 15), in an attempt to win a large prize pot for her chosen charity.
However as the episode – hosted by 63-year-old Bradley Walsh – first aired, Mark made what some fans thought was an inappropriate comment.

He took to the social media platform X – formerly known as Twitter – where he wrote: “I don’t know what is more impressive about @carolvorders, her intellect of her more tangible assets #superstar #BeatTheChasers.”
However fans were not impressed by the quizzers comments online and they flooded him with replies.
One wrote: “Bit weird.”
Another commented: “Bit creepy!”
“Just in case you didn’t realise – it’s 2022 not 1922,” fumed a third.
Whilst a fourth added: “Bit inappropriate.”
However she took the comment in great spirits as she replied: “…you beast you,” alongside a two sarcastic wink and laughing emojis.
This was before she addressed the controversy on her own account on the platform in a further more visible clarification for users of the microblogging platform.
She posted: “Well the Beast and I are having a bit of a laugh over this as he is a good buddy of mine and we always take the mick out of each other…. all hail the Beast @MarkLabbett.”
She added: “And thank you Bradders and the gang for such a great show x.”
This comes after she showed off her hourglass curves in a bold skintight lace dress on the celebrity special of the popular game show.
The TV presenter looked amazing as she wore a red lace midi dress that showed off her famous curves.
Carol was quizzed to win money for charity by host Bradley Walsh as she showed off her peachy derriere in the tight outfit.
