During Saturday’s instalment (August 12), Faith was lied and said she had cancer after Stevie Nash (Elinor Lawless) discovered diazepam in her locker.

As Faith spiralled out of control, viewers took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their thoughts.

Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “Faith get help ASAP.”

Another added: “Faith stop! #Casualty.”

A third person posted: “No. F**k off. I hate Faith right now. How dare she lie about cancer!!! What a disgusting lie!”

While a fourth social media user said: “Faith needs to stop with the lies, she has to tell the truth and I hope someone sees through the lies.”

Suspicious that someone is stealing from the drugs cupboard, Max Cristie (Nigel Harman) gathered the team and informed them that stricter measures are being put in place to keep track of medication.

The new rules soon left Faith panicking as she realised it was now impossible to steal diazepam.

Faith soon spotted an opportunity to get more drugs after a prescription mix-up allowed her to falsely sign off diazepam for a patient.

However, when Stevie notcied the patient had been given the incorrect amount of medication she quickly connected the dots.

Heading to the staff room to investigate, Stevie found the missing diazepam in Faith’s open locker and threatened to report her to Max.

Knowing that her secret is out, a defeated Faith planned her next move.

After advising patient Viv to be honest with her family and lean on them for support, Faith decided it was time to come clean to Stevie about her addiction.

However, she ultimately bottled it and instead told Stevie that she has ovarian cancer and had been taking the diazepam for the pain.

She begged her colleague to keep it quiet and a guilty Stevie, believing the story, agreed.

Will Faith be caught out?

Casualty airs on Saturdays on BBC One and BBC iPlayer
