CITV star had 'so many complaints' about her big boobs she had to wear minimiser bra

Danielle Nicholls kickstarted her career in TV on children’s programme CITV.

The presenter – who has always had a fuller bust – has revealed that while hosting on the channel, she was made to wear a minimiser bra to make her large bust appear smaller.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, Danielle said: “When I first started at CITV there were so many complaints about my boobs. I was only 19 and only had a D-cup at the time, but I was a size eight, so it was a problem.

“I had to wear what was called a minimiser bra – in the 2000s it wasn’t trendy to have a big bust at all.”

Danielle explained that due to the trend of smaller boobs, minimiser bras were quite common, and she was encouraged to wear them when she was at work.

She was responsible for the pre-school youngsters which included the likes of Teletubbies airing on the channel.

Danielle added that there were a lot of tops she couldn’t wear but her female colleagues could due to the difference in their bust size.

Because of her job title Danielle said she “got her head around it” because it was kids TV – but she doesn’t appreciate being told to cover up now.

The star explained that her bust has only grown since she hosted the children’s TV show after giving birth to her children and breastfeeding.

She said: “When I had the babies put on three stone and I never really lost that last stone. I get accused of having a boob job all the time.

“I’ve never had any surgery – I’ve had Botox and filler, but I’m not anti-surgery at all, but these are my boobs. They fed my babies.”

Danielle’s latest frustration follows a troll calling in to complain about her on TalkTV after wearing a peep-hole dress while on air.

She said: “I just think it’s really wrong, I’m aware I have a big bust, but it’s natural and it’s all mine. I’ve spent so long feeling embarrassed about it, but I’m always apologising for my boobs.

“I thought, ‘Why the hell are you shaming me?’ I wasn’t wearing inappropriate clothes, there was a hint of cleavage. I just have a big chest! We shouldn’t be apologising for that.”
