Ryan’s left terrified whilst young Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) dives under a table and calls Nick.
As he answers, a gunshot can be heard coming from the Bistro.
Nick, Damon and Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) race towards the bistro fearing for Sam and Ryan.
Having been alerted to the gunshot the police arrive, as a handler arrives in the bistro with his sniffer dog. Is the game up?
Later in the week, Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) tells Leanne that they’ve arrested two men who they suspect were the gunmen.
Leanne calls Nick and implores him to get rid of the drugs.
Nick tells Damon to pick up the drugs or he’ll dispose of them down the toilet.
Having placed the holdall of drugs in the boot, Damon climbs into his car but suddenly police sirens are heard.
Will Damon make his getaway?
In the wake of massive revelations Damon is Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor)’s brother and he’s using the Bistro as a front to deal drugs, Leanne s not a happy woman.
Harvey previously made her life hell when he recruited Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) to deal drugs for him at a time when Leanne was grieving for her son Oliver.
It was one of the lowest points in Leanne’s life and discovering that there’s someone with such a close connection to Gaskell working alongside her is devastating news and more so when she realises that Nick is aware of who he is.
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday on ITV at 8pm
