Coronation Street fans have speculated that Eliza (Savannah Kunyo) is set to be groomed after taking a call from a mysterious man on Friday (August 4).
During the latest instalment of the ITV soap, the youngster returned home to her grandfather Stu (Bill Fellows) and Yasmeen (Shelley King) after the date of her sleepover was mixed up.
While chatting to the pair, Eliza received a call from someone named Dom and stepped outside to video chat in private.

“I thought you were going to leave me hanging,” Dom said after Eliza answered the phone.
The youngster responded: “I just needed to find somewhere more private, that’s all”.
“It’s great to actually see you rather than just message,” Dom continued, before Eliza admitted he didn’t sound how she expected.
Dom added: “I might sound different again when we meet in the flesh,” before questioning whether Eliza was still keen to meet in person.
“Totally! I can’t wait,” said an excited Eliza as the mysterious man agreed.
Fans began speculating Dom’s true intentions immediately after Eliza took the call, with many predicting the youngster is about to become the centre of a sick grooming storyline.

Sharing their thoughts, one fan wrote: “#Corrie sweet jesus what was that? Filthy old man grooming a kid…”
Another added: “Oh, you’re kidding. A grooming storyline with a paedo. Can you not lighten up? Ever?”
“Oh, s**t, it’s a dirty old man paedo online grooming story now,” agreed a third as someone else declared: “OMG Eliza’s going to be groomed #corrie”.

While others seemed to think it could actually be Eliza’s dad, with one writing: “Who in the whatsit what is Dom? And why is that little girl so eager to meet him? Would she have her dad saved in phone as Dom? That totally threw me”.
A second asked: “Who is Dom? Could that be Eliza’s dad?”
“Her dad’s calling now ffs #corrie,” tweeted another viewer while a fourth agreed: “It’s her dad not a paedo #Corrie.”
