The Coronation Street star’s holiday also follows her recent appearance on I’m a Celebrity: South Africa, with Helen saying on ITV daytime talk show Lorraine that the series was “a distraction” from her split from ex-boyfriend Scott Sinclair.

Helen welcomed three children called Matilda, Delilah and Charlie with footballer Scott, but the couple split in 2022 after 13 years together.

Opening up on Lorraine, the TV host asked Helen if I’m a Celeb was a distraction to “get away”, with the actress responding: “Yes it was a distraction. Definitely.

“I kind of tried to throw myself into kind of work and I kind of feel like I’m at a stage in my life now where I kind of feel like, what do I actually want?

“Not mum Helen. You know, what do I actually want to do? So, I feel like I’m in that kind of nice stage where I kind of might find myself a little bit again.”

However she added it was difficult to be away from her children, saying: “It is actually quite strange when when you’re not with them.”

Helen was one of the lucky campmates to be given the chance to phone home during her time in the jungle though, with the actress heard saying on the show at the time: “It’s made my day.

“It was so so good to speak to them. It’s given me even more determination.”
