Corrie's Audrey 'framed' for Teddy's murder as killer Stephen claims next victim

Coronation Street fans believe Audrey Roberts could be framed for murder after spotting a telling clue.

During Friday night’s instalment of the ITV soap, Teddy finally realised Stephen was lying about the whereabouts of his son, Leo, who Stephen claimed has been living in Canada for months.

After his memory was triggered in a conversation with Billy, Teddy headed to confront Stephen, accusing him of murdering his son to get close to his fiancé, Jenny.

As Stephen lured Teddy into the factory, he eventually whacked him over the head to stop him from going to the police about his suspicions over Leo’s whereabouts.

Stephen murdered Teddy in Friday’s episode

Prior to this, Audrey headed into the Rovers to find out where Stephen was as she needed her car back to go and visit a friend.

She told Jenny: “Can you tell him I need my car back now because I’m off to see my friend Ben in the Peaks and I want to do the drive before it gets dark.”

Desperate to get rid of Teddy’s lifeless body, Stephen hid it in the roof box of his mother’s car and was even helped out by Kevin and Tim who were unaware of what they were lifting.

Fans are worried that Audrey could be framed for Stephen’s murder

But much to Stephen’s horror, he returned to find the car missing, only to be informed that Audrey had taken it to go and visit her friend.

Taking to social media with their theories, many viewers suggested this puts Audrey in the frame for Teddy’s murder.

“Oh Audrey you are now in the frame for Teddy’s murder #corrie,” penned one fan.

Kevin and Tim unknowingly helped Stephen move Teddy’s body

Another exclaimed: “So that means Audrey is unwittingly driving to The Peaks with a dead body on the roof?!? #Corrie.”

However, others voiced how “ridiculous” they thought the ending was.

“Kevin, Abi & Tim unknowingly help Stephen get poor Teddy’s body onto the roof of Audrey’s car & now Audrey has gone off in the car. Ridiculous,” wrote one user.

Another added: “Lol. Audrey’s driven off with Teddy’s body on the roof. Hilariously ridiculous.”
