The Daily Star’s iconic lettuce has become a star of the West End.
Our veg version of flop Prime Minister Liz Truss, 47, features in a new stage production of sketch show Spitting Image.
It bursts onto the theatre stage to the sound of M People classic Moving On Up before a puppet of Boris “Bozo” Johnson, 58, asks: “Where’s the 36 billion quid you spaffed away, you b**tard? P*** back off.”

Just like dozy Truss did at No10, its appearance is brief.
A snap of our world-famous live stream of the lettuce going up against failed PM Truss in a ‘which will last longer’ battle from last October is shown in another scene.
TV comic Al Murray, 55, penned the script for the stage show and included our lettuce because he loves our jokey front pages.
He told us: “The Daily Star is really brilliant at taking the p*** out of people on the front pages.
“Supposedly we’re all scared of offending anyone, so it’s been good to see the paper go for it like that.
“We are all part of the same robust tradition of satire.”
The show also features parodies of other politicians including Mad Vlad Putin, 70, current PM Rishi Sunak, 43, and Suella Braverman, 43.
Celebs who get ribbed include Adele, Tom Cruise, Alison Hammond and Harry Styles.
Spitting Image: Idiots Assemble is at London’s Phoenix Theatre until August 26.
Al isn’t worried about offending any of them.
He said: “I don’t care if it upsets anyone. We’re not here to worry if one of the celebrities doesn’t like it. That’s not our job.
“Our job is to take the mickey and assume they can cope with that or not go to see it.
“Doing this show has been as exciting as it has been daunting.
“It’s been an absolutely amazing project to work on.”
