Joey Essex brought the house down tonight on Dancing on Ice with his heart-tugging performance with partner Vanessa Bauer – to the point that she broke down in tears.
Both Joey and professional skater Vanessa have lost a parent so their semi-final dance was to honour their late family members.
After completing their haunting choreography, Vanessa, 26, was visibly moved as Joey explained that she had lost her dad Marco last year.

He said: “She’s been a great support to me.

“Obviously this week’s been really emotional…I hope everyone who watched this skate tonight can smile – there’s light at the end of the tunnel.”
Vanessa hid her face and Holly sweetly told Joey to “give her a cuddle”.

Vanessa’s dad Marco died in 2021 after a six-year battle with cancer, according to reports, and since his death, Vanessa has vowed to “dream bigger” and make him proud.
Joey’s mum Tina took her own life in 2001 after a battle with depression when the TOWIE star was just 10 years old.
