Actor Danny DeVito and his daughter Lucy have posed together for a snap whilst they were at the opening of their Broadway play together.
The two have collaborated on an acting piece together and last night (November 2) was the opening night of the play I Need That in New York City on Thursday. They were among the cast of the Broadway production at American Airlines Theatre.
Danny is starring in the show as the lead character Sam, and Lucy, 40, plays Amelia alongside her father. Danny looked very dapper as he donned a navy shirt, accompanied by a black suit jacket and matching trousers for the star-studded premiere.

Lucy looked stunning as she opted for a black and white strapless dress that showed off her teeny waist and long legs. She let her dark hair fall around her face in loose waves as it framed her striking facial features.
The father and daughter posed together on the red carpet at the event. Acting runs in the family as Lucy’s mother Rhea Perlman, 75 was also in attendance and posed for a photo with the cast members.
A synopsis for the play teases: “[Sam] doesn’t get out at all, opting instead for the safety of his house in the company of his things – his many, many things. But when a notice from the government arrives alerting Sam that he must clean up his property or face eviction, he’s forced to reckon with what’s trash, what’s treasure, and whether we can ever know the difference between the two.”
Lucy has been following in her parent’s footsteps and has been pursuing a career in acting. She has starred in shows alongside her father such as Dumbo (2019) and Jumanji: The Next Level (2019), as well as having appeared in Netflix’s Blonde (2022).
Talking about starring alongside his daughter Danny told GQ Magazine: “One of my favourite moments with Lucy was when she was just a baby. I was directing this movie.

“I was doing one shot over and over again. It was pushing this woman who had a little monologue on a divan. And I’d say, “Cut!” I did it about six or seven times. In the last take, Lucy said, “Cut!” It was the cutest thing. Actually, that’s the take that’s in the movie.”
