The dark secrets behind Britney Spears’ Oops… I Did It Again video have resurfaced after the star was dashed to hospital during filming.
Way back in the year 2000, Britney was just 18 years old when she released her epic sophomore album, rocking out in a bright red latex ensemble as she lip-synced to her titular single.
Performing some of her most iconic dance moves in a space-themed video, Britney wore her blonde tresses straight down, pinned back behind her ears as she opted for a metallic silver eyeshadow look.

But the star had to be rushed to hospital after suffering a brutal head injury on set.
Speaking to CNN at the time, Britney confessed: “I was lying on the floor – it’s the scene where I’m lying down and the camera is supposed to be an overhead shot of me.
“All of a sudden, the camera just falls on my head in the middle of the whole video. It was really kind of bad. It was a very ‘Oops I did it again’ video.”
Britney was rushed to the hospital to get stitches, but eventually made it back in time to finish the shoot.
At the time, her mother Lynne confessed her daughter suffered a concussion, and made it back after just four hours of rest.
Straight afterwards, Britney flew out to Grand Rapids and slept for 17 hours before performing a gig.
Lynne wrote on her daughter’s website: “These are the times that I worry most! I worry about her pushing herself too hard because she’s a perfectionist.
“I worry about those freak accidents that seem to occur when you work crazy hours. I obsessively worry about her flying so much. And, of course, all of the above happened this week.”
It wouldn’t be the only time Britney injured herself during a shoot. In 2004, she injured her knee while shooting the video for Outrageous, and was rushed to hospital for an MRI scan.

Accident-prone Brit also broke her foot while dancing as recent as 2021, with her husband Sam Asghari sharing the news with fans after taking her to the hospital.
Britney even shared a terrifying video of her bone snapping, warning fans: “Sorry it’s kind of loud!”
