EastEnders fans are certain Ben Mitchell is set to go on a downwards spiral after learning that Lola only has six months to live.
Ben shares daughter Lexi with Lola and has been hopeful that Lola would survive her brain tumour diagnosis.
But after Lola informed him of her devastating prognosis, Ben now faces raising Lexi alone and fans think he’s set to turn back to his old boozy ways.

“This is going to send Ben on a huge setback,” one fan predicted.
“Lola is right – Ben needs to have therapy it’s the only way that he can step up for Lexi whilst managing his trauma effectively.
Without therapy Ben could revert back to his old ways and put Lexi at risk like he did with the attacks,” penned a second, while a third added: “Ben is not going to do well with this news. He’ll be back on the bottle in no time.”
Fans may remember Ben hitting rock bottom after he was raped while he was still married to Callum.

Refusing to come clean about the ordeal, Ben spiralled into a depression and turned to drugs and alcohol – landing him in the hospital.
Lola had been unwavering in her commitment to moving ahead with her fundraiser event.
After a heated argument with Ben about making their daughter a priority, Lola found herself overwhelmed with emotion upon realizing that Lexi had believed she would recover.

Touched by her family’s steadfast support, Lola bravely bared the devastating truth – she had a mere six months, at most, to live.
This shocking revelation only fueled their determination to raise as much money as possible during the event.
Things weren’t much better for Ben’s mum Kathy on tonight’s episode.
Rocky had enlisted the help of Sonia, Reiss, and Harvey to try and track down his wife, Jo, but their efforts were unsuccessful.
Sonia encouraged him to be honest with Kathy, but when he revealed everything, Kathy called off the engagement and ordered him out of her life.
In the café, Freddie sensed Reiss’ struggle and stepped in, managing to track Jo down within minutes. However, upon learning about Rocky’s lies, Freddie sought vengeance.
He headed to the car lot and sprayed an expletive remark on behalf of Bobby before revealing to Rocky that he had tracked Jo down and given her Kathy’s address.
Rocky was horrified when he spotted Jo approaching No.45 and watched as she revealed her identity to Kathy.
