EastEnders favourites to ‘fight for their lives’ after catastrophic fire at Café

Some of EastEnders’ biggest stars are set to fight for their lives following a monumental catastrophe striking Kathy’s Café.

Reports suggest scenes set to air this autumn will show a catastrophic fire tearing through the café, reducing one of Walford’s most cherished landmarks to ruins.

Reports from the set suggest that filming has recently concluded, with observers touting them as nothing short of “incredible.”

Yet, the repercussions of this disaster will have a heavy impact for some of the soap’s beloved characters, as the arson attack seems to have been premeditated.

A source told The Sun: “Bosses are staying tight-lipped about who’s behind the attack and who is left fighting for their lives, but viewers can expect lots of drama as the storyline unfolds on-screen and the residents of Walford deal with the fallout of the event.”

It’s set to be an explosive Autumn episode as some lives will hang in the balance.

The intrigue of a Christmas whodunit is already gripping fans, spurred by the stunning time-jump scene unveiled in February.

This haunting glimpse featured six of Walford’s most resolute female personas congregated around a lifeless body within The Queen Victoria pub.

It’s not the first fire taking place in Walford, but it’s set to be a dramatic one.

Kathy Beale has owned the café since son Ian sold her the business in 1991.

Gillian Taylforth was one of the soap’s original cast members in 1985.

The character was dramatically killed off screen in 2006, with her then-husband Gavin Sullivan’s sister calling Ian to tell him they’d died in a car crash.

In 2015 she returned from the dead, telling how she had faked her death as part of an insurance claim plan for her family.
