EastEnders fans are blasting an unrealistic flaw in Stacey Slater’s stalker storyline.
For several weeks fans have seen creepy tutor Theo Hawthorne worm his way into Stacey’s life by tutoring her daughter Lily.
He has since gone on to stalk and harass her, both breaking into her house, sending her threatening text messages and manipulating her into ending her friendship with Eve.

But after Theo broke into her house on Thursday (Aug 24) and slashed her underwear – only to be conveniently waiting outside the house to lend a helping hand, fans are slamming Stacey’s naivety as “totally unrealistic.”
“@bbceastenders Why are they trying to portray Stacey as some thick idiot who wouldn’t see through the psycho? Totally out of character. #Eastenders #poorstoryline,” said one fan.
“what the hell happened to Stacey Slater? From what I remember she was one of the most street smart people on the square so how the hell has she not figured out this Theo dude is creepy af?” penned another.
“A third viewer wrote: ” them purposely writing stacey as dim when she is the most street smart person on the square is really getting on my nerves.”

Martin returned from Bulgaria, but Stacey remained tight-lipped about the break-in, fearing his reaction.
Eve was taken aback when Theo arrived to tutor Lily, yet it became evident that Stacey wanted company after the incident.
Eve and Theo exchanged some heated words regarding his interfering actions with Caz, but Eve’s demeanor softened once he apologized.
He even aided Stacey in arranging the locks for No.31. Little did Eve know that Theo had secretly held onto a spare key for himself.
Later, Eve went to the café to update Martin on Stacey’s stalker situation.
During their conversation, Martin began to speculate that Theo might be involved, but Eve insisted that concrete evidence would be necessary to make such a claim.
Elsewhere, Bobby gave Peter the order to leave but Peter’s reconciliation with both Gina and Ben has him wanting to stay.
In France, Cindy informed Ian that she intended to head to Walford to bring Peter back. However, Ian was well aware that George and the girls were residing on the Square.
With this knowledge, he convinced Cindy not to leave, assuring her that he would take the responsibility of making Peter return.
Later, Ian came to realize that Cindy had departed with her passport in hand as Peter finally left the square.
