Emmerdale Chloe’s exit ‘sealed’ as she makes shock announcement leaving Mack in tears

Emmerdale’s Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) has announced she’s leaving the village with baby Reuben.

The new mum shared the news with the father of her child Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) during Wednesday’s episodes of the ITV soap.

They had a one night stand last year which resulted in the arrival of little Reuben.

She gave birth on Mack’s wedding day to Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) but his new wife is yet to know that he’s is the baby’s dad.

In emotional scenes, Chloe and Mack met up alone where she told him of her plans to move to Scotland because she felt it wasn’t fair for her baby to always be around him and for her to have to see him.

Mack got teary as he took his baby son in his arms for the first time and said a heartbreaking goodbye to his first child.

Chloe got emotional too, quickly stopping him from speaking and taking the baby off him.

He walked off, his tears evident as he realised what he was losing.

Next week, Charity will finally discover that Mack is the father of Chloe’s baby after nearly a year of being kept in the dark.

Mack reels when Chloe tells him she’s taking Rueben back to Scotland.

As the events unfold, actors Emma Atkins and Lawrence Robb have teased what comes next now that Charity has discovered the truth.

Emma exclusively told Daily Star and other press: “There’s a moment in the village where we bump into each other and Mackenzie doesn’t know that Charity knows and that is magical.

“Then there’s a scene immediately after that, that we all shot together and that was a learning experience for us all,” Lawrence chimed in.

He continued: “When it all comes out, hopefully we’ve done it justice but I don’t think it’s ever been done in soap before, what we did.”

Touching upon the upcoming scene further, Emma added: “It just breaks a few of the boundaries of normal soap filming.”

“We had a blast filming it,” Lawrence said in as Emma admitted: “It was pretty exhausting as well.”

While the scene is centred around Charity and Mackenzie, Noah Dingle (Jack Downham) and Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) will also find themselves involved in the action.

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
