Emmerdale fans were puzzled after Faye Helders sent an explicit photo of Mary Goskirk (Louise Jameson) to every person in her contacts.
Con artist Faye, played by Jane Gurnett, recently returned to the village and attempted to blackmail her ex-girlfriend into withdrawing her witness statement, threatening to send a nude photo of her to everyone in the village.
Believing she had outsmarted Faye, Mary, with the help of her daughter Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) recorded Faye’s threats and handed them into the police.

After Faye was arrested and charged with blackmail, she warned Mary: “You will regret this!”
With the con artist now behind bars, Mary headed to The Woolpack to celebrate with her loved ones.

Her happiness was short-lived however as suddenly everyone’s phones went off, with Mary realising the naked photo had still been sent.
But fans were quick to spot a few errors within the storyline, with many questioning why Mary would have every village resident in her contacts.
One puzzled fan questioned: “Why on earth would Mary have EVERYBODY in the village on her contacts list?,” as another penned: “How is anyone at April’s school going to be in Mary’s contacts”.

A third added: “Isn’t it crazy how Mary has every villagers phone number. I’ve been living in my village 12 years. I’ve got the neighbours on Facebook. That’s ya lot”.
“Oh Mary hold your head up high! Although I can’t understand why Mary would have had the contact details of every villager????,” echoed someone else.
While others questioned how Faye managed to send the picture out despite being locked up without her phone.

But answering this with a theory, many speculated that Faye has an accomplice who also lives in the village.
One theorised: “Ok, really wild theory… Gail could be related to Faye, and had a copy of the photo in case Faye got arrested. When she learnt of Faye’s arrest she sent the photo since she would be in the village group chat.”
“So Faye must be working with someone.. odds on it been Gail ?,” agreed a second.
While another shared: “Is it me or did Gail seem a bit odd in that scene. What if she’s faye’s daughter or accomplice?”
