Emmerdale filming has been cancelled following heavy snowfall on the ITV set in Leeds.
A representative for the soap said: “Due to the weather and road accessibility all Emmerdale filming units have been cancelled today.”
Actor Nick Miles, who has played Jimmy King since 2004, also confirmed the news as he tweeted: “Filming on Emmerdale cancelled today due to the snow. Look out Leeds. We’re all going sledging.”

The set was first hit with snow on Thursday (March 9), however the cast were able to continue filming scenes which are set to air in May.
Gabby Thomas actress Rosie Bentham and Lewis Cope, who plays newcomer Nicky, also took to their social media pages to share snaps of the snowy set during the blizzard.
The 21-year-old’s snap showed inches of thick snow on the ground as well as several cars which were barely visible following the blizzard.
It comes after Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw revealed the soap’s history making all-male episode is “one of the most powerful” instalments ever.
During tonight’s episode, Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) will host a lock-in for male residents of the village at the Woolpack so they can speak openly with each other about mental health.
Laura, who has been an Emmerdale scriptwriter since 2007, explained to Daily Star and other press: “There is a whole episode where our men just talk.
“There are no stunts, there are no affairs, there are no big explosive reveals, it’s just men talking about whatever they are feeling or thinking.
“It’s as simple as that. But when you watch it, it’s probably one of the most powerful episodes we’ve ever done.”
She continued: “We know accurate on-screen portrayals help people with their own experiences and help them speak out without fear of judgement.
“If we help just one person who is struggling to reach out and start talking, well, we’ve done our job.”
