Emmerdale, EastEnders, Hollyoaks and Coronation Street continue to bring the drama next week.
With Christmas behind us, soaps are starting to play out the start of their new dramatic storylines.
While some characters may not make it much further into 2023, it looks like there is plenty of heartbreak in store for our favourite charatcers in upcoming scenes.

Daily Star has taken a sneak peek ahead with a siege nightmare in Hollyoaks village, a mysterious newcomer over in Albert Square and big decision to be made in Emmerdale.
Coronation Street
Newly-engaged Daisy Midgley (Charlotte Jordan) receives a bouquet of flowers from a hunky DJ after the meet at a hotel just weeks after Daniel Osbourne’s (Rob Mallard) proposal.
Jacob Hay (Jack Jame Ryan) is stressed when a party of police officers arrive for a retirement do at the Bistro as his dodgy dad Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths) sorts drugs to be delivered to the restaurant.
Meanwhile, Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) finds herself in grave danger after Mike (Tom Lorcan) and Esther Hargrave (Vanessa Hehir) are finally exposed.
EastEnders
Zack Hudson (James Farrar) is left shaken when his old acquaintance Brett (Fabrizio Santino) arrives in Walford.
Elsewhere, Denise Fox (Diane Parish) is desperate to put a spark back into her marriage with Jack Branning (Scott Malsen) but his behaviour points her into the direction of hunky Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara).
Also, Lola Pearce (Danielle Harold) invites the family for a meal, where Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick), Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) and Callum Highway (Tony Clay) brace themselves for a terrible update but Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) and Lola take great delight in announcing their plans.
Emmerdale
Matty (Ash Palmisciano) Moira Barton (Natalie J Robb), Amy Wyatt (Natalie Jamieson) and Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) regroup at Butlers Farm after their interrogation from the police as Kyle Winchester makes a killer confession.
Mackenzie is also left panicking when pregnant Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) moves in with him and Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) after she collapses.
Meanwhile, Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) starts to worry about Naomi Walters (Karene Peter) bad influence on April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) and soon feels forced to confront Naomi.

Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard) declares his wife Diane Hutchinson (Alex Fletcher) “dead” in heartbreaking scenes as Eric Foster gets revenge as holds his neighbours hostage in The Dog.
Bad boy Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) kidnaps his children Sophie and Sebastian Fox right under Ethan Williams (Matthew James Bailey) nose during a game of hide and seek, leaving Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) heartbroken.
Also, Matthew Jesus McQueen (Matthew Clohessy) decides he wants to live with Myra McQueen in Alicante, but Goldie (Chelsee Healey) and Nana McQueen (Diane Langton) try to help remind him why he should stay.
